Analysis of deposition of heavy metal dust on the leaves of few selected tree species in Kanchipuram town, Tamil Nadu, India

Biomonitoring of heavy metals is one the economic methods to identify and improve quality air. The aim this work was concentration nine viz. Fe, Pb, Cu, Zn, Al, Cd, As, Cr Mn in ambient air deposited on leaves five tree species such as Saraca asoca, Terminalia catappa, Syzygium cumini, Ficus religiosa Pongamia glabra collected from six sites Pallavarmedu (Site I), CSI hospital II), Moongilmandapam III), Collectrate IV), Near Cancer Institute V) VellaGate VI) Kanchipuram town TamilNadu State, months February - March 2019. Even with some differences species, few were identified significant correlation, suggesting that these pollutants emitted similar sources. deposition iron (235.53mg/kg) aluminium (157.91mg/kg) higher S.asoca compared other species.
